On May 18, Dr. Xie Jun, CEO of the Asia Pacific Investment Bank and the Asia Digital Bank, presided over a special briefing in Beijing titled “A New Long March Begins Again, A Dialogue Across Time and Space.” During the session, Dr. Xie presented a comprehensive overview of the Asia Digital Bank’s strategic positioning and development roadmap. The event was attended by over a hundred strategic partners.

The briefing highlighted three key development directions recently established by the bank. First, it aims to integrate the domestic technology strengths of partner institutions with the bank’s cross-border financial license resources to develop an independent and controllable cross-border payment system. Second, it will leverage digital technology to empower supply chain upgrades, providing one-stop digital financial solutions for trade enterprises along the Belt and Road. Third, the bank plans to establish a fintech laboratory focused on advancing core technologies such as blockchain-based cross-border settlement and VR Code traceability.

“This dialogue across industries and finance is essentially a new Long March in the era of the digital economy,” Dr. Xie Jun stated that the Asia Digital Bank will pursue a “three-step strategy” to achieve leapfrog development: In the initial phase, the focus will be on integrating shareholder resources; in the mid-term, the goal is to establish a China-ASEAN hub for digital asset circulation; and in the long term, to become a leading digital banking group in the region, actively participating in the formulation of international financial infrastructure standards.

Dr. Xie Jun concluded by stating, “We will carry forward the Long March spirit to drive innovation in financial technology and write a new chapter of industry-finance integration in the landscape of the digital economy.”
